Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 June 2026
OopStay Art Café Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We're committed to handling your data carefully and in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
What we collect
- Enquiry details — your name, email, optional phone number, enquiry type and message when you contact us through the form.
- Order details — name, delivery address, contact details and order history when you buy a DIY kit (payment is handled by our payment provider; we don't store card numbers).
- Usage & analytics data — pages visited, device and browser type, and similar information collected via cookies and analytics tools.
How & why we use it
We use your information to:
- Reply to your enquiry and provide the products or service you've asked for (legal basis: contract / legitimate interests).
- Send you marketing — offers, events, workshops and new kits — where you've given consent by ticking the box on our enquiry form or otherwise opting in (legal basis: consent).
- Carry out analytics to understand how our site is used and to improve it (legal basis: consent / legitimate interests).
- Meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We share data only with trusted providers who help us run the business — for example our email and form delivery provider (e.g. Resend), our website host, payment and delivery partners, and analytics tools. They process data on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your personal data.
Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to make the site work, and — with your consent — analytics and marketing cookies to measure performance and improve your experience. You can manage cookies in your browser settings at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and order records only as long as needed to respond, fulfil the order and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (including unsubscribing from marketing). To exercise any right, email oopstay25@gmail.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
